• ·         Average life expectancy = 66 years
• ·         Yearly birth = 1.6 Crores
• ·         Average Family = 4 ppl, so one marriage / 4 ppl
• ·         Average marriages / year = 40 lakhs
• ·         Marriage failure / year = 2 lakh 498a; 2 lakhs dowry, divorce, 125, etc etc ; panchayat etc etc another 2 lakhs (this is conservative) = 4 lakhs ~ 6 Lkahs per year
• ·         Divorce / failure rate : 4 ~ 6 lakhs / 35 lakhs
• ·         = 10% ~ 14% of NEW marriages failing PUBLICALLY in India another 20% sitting inside home as gulam, ultimately going crazy, committing suicide etc

• ·         This is enormous for an eastern / traditional country where family is a basic building unit
