judges stuck in last century while young wives move on to loot using new ways

A recent judgement of the Honbl'e Madras HC has gone on to castigate recent Tamil films and film titles.

While we laud the HC's concern about rising violence in society and negative impact of cinema, we are aghast that the HC's decision praising 50 year old Tamil movies shows that Judges are stuck in the past

The Honbl'e Judges resolutely believe that ALL women are Chaste and Honourable and are the really weaker and oppressed sex, as if SATI is
still in vogue today

Little do they realise that times have changed so fast that innocent MEN need protection now

Also, women are using novel methods to loot their estranged husbands of their hard earned money

No cinema teaches you to files flase 498a . Not many cinemas show how to master the art of seeking maintenance and  / or file false domestic violence cases to make a quick buck

Young wives have learned the trick themselves and are improving by the day

Think twice before giving movie title: HC

ChennaiObserving that the heroes, producers and directors should be careful enough to have good titles for the movies, which do not create any controversy by affecting sentiments of the people, the Madras high court has restrained the makers of a Tamil film from releasing their movie titled 'Madisar Mami'.

Court restrains Madisar Mami

Observing that the heroes, producers and directors should be careful enough to have good titles for the movies, which do not create any controversy by affecting sentiments of the people, the Madras high court has restrained the makers of a Tamil film from releasing their movie titled Madisar Mami.

Posting to June 12, further hearing of the petition filed by Tamil Nadu Brahmin Association, Justice N. Kirubakaran, who granted the interim injunction however said it was open to the makers to change the title and release the movie.

Recollecting some of the yesteryear movies, the judge said those films literally exhibited the importance of human relationship, family values, respect for elders, sentiments and feelings of fellow beings. Actors playing the role of hero in those films always portrayed positive sentiments.

The message conveyed through such films was loud and clear viz 'values of life'. Cinema industry contributed five chief ministers to Tamil Nadu and they have been ruling this state continuously from 1967 onwards (except during brief spells of president rule).

In the present case, it was pointed out that pictures downloaded from Internet show that a woman who dresses in traditional 'madisar' saree and the hero who wears the traditional dhoti indulging in sexual acts. The movie itself was denigrating. Hence an order of interim injunction was granted, the judge added.
