Only 165 pass exam for District Judge post
Only 165 of 2,688 candidates who wrote the examination for selection of District Judges (Entry Level) recently have secured 35 per cent and above.
According to a press release issued by P.Kalaiyarasan, Registrar General of Madras High Court, in response to the notification issued on May 2 for Direct Recruitment of 23 District Judges (Entry Level), 3273 applications were received, and 2,688 candidates wrote examinations for two papers on July 6.
It was found that only 165 candidates had secured 35 per cent and above in the aggregate in both papers put together. "Therefore, it has been decided to invite only these 165 candidates for viva voce", the release added.
The results of the written examinations have been hosted on the High Court's official websitewww.hcmadras.tn.nic.in.
The interviews are scheduled to commence from July 29.
