Kanimozi (25), d/o Anbazagan, of Vakurappampatti, Kambainallur, Arur, Dharmapuri was married to Sasikumar of Parayappapatti, near puthur. The marriage is just nine months old. It is alleged that 15 sovereign gold and other gifts were given during marriages. It is also alleged that Sasikumar and his family were torturing Kanimozi for additional dowry over the last 4 months. It is also alleged alleged that they have threatened to murder her. So Kanimozi complained at the AWPS.
Police registered a case and arrested husband Sankar, mother in law Selvi (55) Husband's sister Sathya (26), Sathya's husband Sankar (a) venkatraman (33). Police are searching for Sasikala and Vijayakumar.
