பெரம்பலூர் அருகே உள்ள பழைய அரசமங்கலம் காந்தி நகரை சேர்ந்தவர் மணிவேல் மனைவி மகாலட்சுமி,22, இவர்களுக்கு திருமணமாகி ஓராண்டு ஆன நிலையில் குழந்தை இல்லை என தெரிகிறது. இதனால் மனமுடைந்த மகாலட்சுமி நேற்று முன்தினம் விஷம் குடித்தார். தகவலறிந்த மகாலட்சுமியின் உறவினர்கள் மகாலட்சுமியை மீட்டு, லப்பைக்குடிகாடு பகுதியில் உள்ள தனியார் மருத்துவமனையிலும், பின்னர் பெரம்பலூர் அரசு மருத்துவமனையில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டு சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்த மகாலட்சுமி நேற்று முன்தினம் மாலை உயிரிழந்தார். இது குறித்து மகாலட்சுமியின் அப்பா மாரிமுத்து,40, கொடுத்த புகாரின்பேரில், மங்கலமேடு இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் சிவசுப்ரமணியன் வழக்கு பதிந்து விசாரிக்கிறார். திருமணமாகி ஓராண்டே ஆவதால் வரதட்சணை கொடுமையால் மகாலட்சுமி தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டாரா என்பது குறித்து பெரம்பலூர் சப்-கலெக்டர் மதுசூதன் ரெட்டி விசாரிக்கிறார்.
