here is a case of dating and love and how that ended

Mahalakshmi (27), daughter of ezumalai, of periya kaaraikkatu village near cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, India  fell in love with Murugan (37)

Their love lead to physical relations and Mahalakshmi became pregnant

Mahalakshmi insisted that Murugan marry her

It is alleged that Murugan refused to marry Mahalakshmi and asked her to abort the kid. It is also alleged that Murugan demanded dowry !!

So Mahalakshmi complained to the AWPS in November 2005 

After the kid was born, using DNA testing , it was confirmed that murugan was the father

Honouorable Judge Ms. Thirumakal who presided over the case, decreed 7 years jail term for murugan , in addition to fine and five lakhs maintenance for the kid

i am NOT talking of 100 years ago

கடலூர்: காதலியை கர்ப்பமாக்கி, திருமணம் செய்யாமல் ஏமாற்றிய காதலனுக்கு, ஏழு ஆண்டு சிறை தண்டனையும், குழந்தையின் பராமரிப்பிற்கு நஷ்ட ஈடாக, 5 லட்சம் ரூபாய் வழங்க வேண்டும் என, கடலூர் மகளிர் கோர்ட் தீர்ப்பளித்துள்ளது. 

கடலூர், பெரிய காரைக்காடு கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர், ஏழுமலை; விவசாயத் தொழிலாளி. இவரது மகள் மகாலட்சுமி, 27. இவரும், முருகன், 37, என்பவரும் காதலித்தனர்.

திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதாக முருகன் கூறியதால், அவருடன் மகாலட்சுமி நெருங்கிப் பழகினார். அதில், மகாலட்சுமி கர்ப்பமடைந்தார். இதையடுத்து, தன்னை திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ளுமாறு வற்புறுத்தினார்.

மகாலட்சுமியின் கர்ப்பத்தைக் கலைக்குமாறு கூறியதோடு, 50 சவரன் நகை வரதட்சணையாகக் கொடுத்தால், திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வதாக முருகன் கூறினார். இதுகுறித்து மகாலட்சுமி, 2005 நவ., 11ல், கடலூர் அனைத்து மகளிர் போலீசில் புகார் செய்தார். போலீசார், முருகனைக் கைது செய்து, அவர் மீது கடலூர் மகிளா கோர்ட்டில் வழக்கு தொடர்ந்தனர். இந்நிலையில், மகாலட்சுமிக்கு ஆண் குழந்தை பிறந்தது. டி.என்.ஏ., சோதனையில், குழந்தையின் தந்தை, முருகன் என்பது உறுதியானது. 

வழக்கை விசாரித்த நீதிபதி திருமகள், கற்பழிப்பு மற்றும் ஏமாற்றிய குற்றங்களுக்காக, முருகனுக்கு ஏழு ஆண்டு சிறை தண்டனை மற்றும் 20 ஆயிரம் ரூபாய் அபராதமும், குழந்தையின் பராமரிப்பிற்காக, 5 லட்சம் ரூபாய் நஷ்டஈடு வழங்கவும் உத்தரவிட்டார்.
