P & H HC has many quash orders on the same date 31 may 2013 , all quashing 498a cases !! While that itself may just indicate how active the 498a industry is, and nothing else, almost all orders sound / seem to be the same !! , same references to other cases, same ratio, same decisions and similar construct of orders !!
So the reader gets to read the same thing again and again ..... there are probably a dozen or more 498a case quash orders on that same very day, all sounding very same !!

This is a petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing FIR No. 57 dated 22.12.2010 under Sections 498-A, 406 IPC registered at Police Station, Jhander, Amritsar on the basis of compromise along with all subsequent proceedings arising from that FIR.
Report of the trial Court received, in which it mentioned that parties have arrived at a compromise.
This is a matrimonial dispute which has been amicably settled.
So in view of the above circumstances and in view of authority reported as," Kulwinder Singh and others vs. State of Punjab and others" 2007(3) RCR (Criminal) 1052, the above said FIR stands quashed. Further proceedings in pursuant to that FIR also stands quashed.
Petition stands disposed of.
