மதுரை ஆயுதப்படை குடியிருப்பில் வசிப்பவர் சங்கீதா(30). இவர் ஆயுதப்படை பிரிவில் காவலராக பணியாற்றி வருகிறார். இவரது கணவர் விஜயசேகர்(32). இவர்களுக்கு 2010-ம் ஆண்டு திருமணம் முடிந்த சில மாதங்களிலேயே சங்கீதா காவலர் பயிற்சிக்கு சென்று விட்டாராம். அவர் பயிற்சி முடித்து திரும்பி வருவதற்குள், நகைகளை கணவர் அடகு வைத்து செலவு செய்து விட்டாராம். இதையறிந்த சங்கீதா பெற்றோர் அடகு வைத்த நகைகளை மீட்டு, தங்களது பாதுகாப்பில் வைத்துக் கொண்டரனராம்.

அந்த நகைகளை மீண்டும் வாங்கி வருமாறு சங்கீதாவை தினமும் கணவர் கொடுமைப் படுத்தி வந்தாராம். இது தொடர்பாக சங்கீதா கொடுத்த புகாரின் பேரில், தல்லாகுளம் அனைத்து மகளிர் போலீஸôர் வழக்குப்பதிவு செய்து, விஜயசேகரை கைது செய்து சிறைக்கு அனுப்பினர்.
