Woman ends life after losing phone
TNN | Jun 8, 2013, 02.33 AM ISTBANGALORE: Depressed over losing Rs 18,000 cash and a mobile phone worth Rs 28,000, a homemaker committed suicide in her house on Thursday.
Manjula, a resident of Jai Maruthi Nagar in Nandini Layout, consumed pesticide and called her husband, Rama Chandra, who was on his way to see his agricultural land in Nelamangala. She told him about the money and the phone she had lost.
Manjula said she has consumed poison and is losing consciousness. Ram Chandra rushed back home and found Manjula unconscious with their distraught three-year-old daughter by the side, police said.
She died in hospital around 3am. Police said the couple was married for six years.
